Last weekend I was the photographer at one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to! The bride and groom are well into their 70's but you would never guess it in a million years! They have more energy that I do for crying out loud, and are determined to live life to the absolute fullest!
Here comes the bride!
During the exchange of vows, the couple smiled lovingly at one another - I wish I could share more photos from the actual ceremony, but the couple didn't want them displayed. The only photo the couple was ok with me sharing from the actual ceremony is this one - taken during the exchange of the rings. I love this shot. Its the pivotal moment in any wedding to me right alongside with the exchange of the vows! I wish I could share the photos of their faces as they went through this process - because then you would see what I saw, what all in attendance saw - the love they have for one another which clearly knows no bounds! I hope you see a glimpse of what we saw with just this one shot -
Although we originally planned to take photos outside in the backyard following the ceremony, mother nature simply wasn't cooperating, and it had rained heavily on and off all day, making the backyard to mucky for photos. As a result, the couple asked that photos be taken on the front porch. These are some of the photos from afterwards - limited to a tiny space on a front porch and we had to be quick because it was still raining on and off, and because the couple had plans to go out after dinner!
And below is the happy couple with their own kids, daugher in law and grandkids!
Mother and daughter... The bride's son and his family. Just the grandkids on their own...
And just the grandkids with the happy bride and groom.
About to cut the wedding cake...
Cheers to Marilyn & Bill indeed and congraulations!!
